    In this class we will draw and/or paint flowers or still life from life.   This class is designed to help the artist of any level (even beginners) to develop skill, understanding and enjoyment of drawing and painting flowers and still life. 

    Drawing is essential for creating all types of art and this class will introduce, explore and develop a variety of drawing (with and without paint) techniques.

    Classes may begin with a talk or demonstration for the first 15 to 30 minutes to introduce the students to different ideas about art.  Topics include cast drawing, painting, color theory, composition, light and form, still life, portrait, landscape, plein air, studio painting, sight size, comparative measure and perspective.

    LEARN TO PAINT WITH ACRYLICS !

    Using a limited palette this relaxed course will 

    introduce you to color mixing and the basic 

    properties of acrylic paints, 

    while guiding you to developing your own style. 

     Beginners through intermediate painters will select their own projects and work at their own pace with individual guidance.  

     Classes are 4 for $100 (prepaid)members; $125 for nonmembers; individual classes are $35 each. Supplies not included, supply list provided upon registration.

    Cost: $125 

    A $20 materials fee will be paid directly to the teacher on the first day of class. Each student will receive a complete drawing kit with an assortment of pencils, pastels, kneaded erasers, a sharpener and drawing pad.

    Class description: 

    Learn how to draw some of your favorite cartoon and comic book characters, self-portraits, animals, nature and more! Students will have fun while learning the fundamentals of shape, form, shading, perspective and composition.

    Class description: 

    Let's get inspired and make art from the art of famous artists! In this fun and inquisitive art camp students will be introduced to the work of famous artists and will be inspired to create artwork of their own!  Students will be encouraged to ask, “How did they do that?” and will be invigorated to find out for themselves as they explore their own creativity.  From making self portraits using geometric shapes and metallic paint colors (inspired by the work of Klimpt's gold gilded portraits) to exploring and making kinetic art (based on the colorful mobiles of Calder), to having fun with Pop Art, this class will be an inspiration for students to discover his or her own inner artist!

    This class is more than just learning the basics of applying paint with a brush onto a blank canvas even though we will use plenty of canvasses and lots of paint brushes since its art fun and madness! What we will explore is how to create unique pieces of artwork using fun techniques that not only uses brushes but sponges, even spatulas and straws.  Students will learn how to pour and splatter paint to create! All sorts of exciting art adventures awaits your child in this fun and creative art camp.

    Class Description:  

    Young artists will learn and explore diverse aspects of painting and more. Different painting techniques will be introduced and taught along with a hands-on approach to using the tools of the trade from exploring different kinds of brushes to painting with none since we will also be using spatulas and palette knives and all sorts of fun. Students will splatter and pour and learn so much more!  We will tape, edge and scrape to create unique works of art and might even practice the art of oriental brush painting and thats just to start in this exciting and creative art camp!
