Make an Impression on Me How Art, Science and Invention came together
Each day, students will meet different artist from the Impressionism movement, and learn what was happening in history and science at the time that influenced their art. We will explore value, color and different artistic techniques using collage, pastel, tempera powders, acrylics and make a final mixed media portrait using everything we learned. Each day will have one or more science experiments to highlight what we are practicing.

Students will experiment with oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics, markers and collage as we learn about color theory and color mixing and art history. Students will create five different works of art.
