Danna Tartaglia (Oils)

Danna Tartaglia is a contemporary artist and gallery owner who was born in Greenville, Mississippi and spent most of her childhood in San Angelo, Texas. She is known for her expressive oil paintings, particularly her captivating depictions of horses.

Danna describes herself as an artist who "came into the world with crayon in hand."  Oil painting is her primary medium, a technique she learned early on and has honed throughout her career.  While she paints various subjects like florals, landscapes, and still lifes, she is particularly drawn to the natural world and animals, especially horses.  Danna is a resident artist for the Lipizzan Rescue Foundation, where her art helps support the rescue and care of Lipizzan horses.

Danna has owned and operated galleries in various locations, including Ojai, California; Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Bainbridge Island, Washington.  Southwest Art Magazine featured her as a "Top Texas Artist" in February 2023, and she has won awards in art competitions, including a second place award in the Lone Star Art Guild 2023 professional division.
