Jim N Hill: Bright and Playful Acrylics

Jim N. Hill of Houston,Texas is well known for his playful, color and shape driven paintings. Two exhibits at the New York Expo led to exposing
Hill's paintings to collectors, galleries and publishers around the globe.Jim is well-known and respected on the Houston art scene, showing work in several galleries. He holds a Masters in Fine Art and has taught for 20 years as Adjunct Professor of Art at Houston Community College, plus five years at St. Anne Catholic School, Houston. He will guide students through various creative projects geared to individual students' interests and skill levels. 

Students should come with 2 - 20 by 24 canvases and one larger. Four tubes of Liquitex paint: Cadmium Red Medium,  Cad. Yellow Deep and any dark blue plus titanium white. Three paint brushes. Portable easel appropriate for canvas sizes (several may be available on a first come- first served basis, or you may work on your painting on a table.) A container for water (quart size or similar) and an apron or oversized shirt for splashes. A portion of your cost pays for additional supplies for the workshop.

   Students should expect at least 3 completed or well underway paintings as a foundation for continuing painting at the end of this 2 day workshop.

   Time permitting, one collage work will also be completed.
