WAL 2022 Plein AIr Competition

We are hosting a plein air competition on Saturday< November 20th, as a part of the art weekend at Springcreek Greenway Nature Center. Participants may bribg two substrates to  be stamped at 10 am check-in, and select their favorite to be judged after the painting session.

There will be a cash prize for the first place winner, with ribbons for second,third, and honorable mentions.

Our judge will be Emily Startz, WAL current Director of Exhibits and owner of The Woodlands Art Gallery on Nursery Rd.

Prizes will be given out at approximately 2:30, after the awards for the WAL Fall Show and LSAG Qualifier.

Paintings or may be any medium but must be able to be displayed on a small table easel.

The entry fee will be $15, with funds going to prizes.

This event is open to the public! 

Artists are welcome to paint with our plein air group without competing, but RSVP is required.
