General Meeting - April 9

Join us at our next general meeting on April 9th from 10:00-12:00. This month we will be meeting at a special location - Hyatt House Hotel in Shenandoah (please note that this is not our usual meetin location). We hope that you will stay for the reception/meet the artist for our art exhibit in the hotel.

Our monthly meetings are a great opportunity to meet other artists and get all of the latest WAL news. You will also enjoy a demonstration by Carolina Dalmas titled "Expressive Botanicals."

Carolina will teach you techniques,using soft pastels, that she uses in creating everything from fabulous florals to vibrant vegetables.  Carolina teaches art classes at her studio and has an active presence in many community art associations. Carolina's style is unique, refreshing, and new! She brings exciting expressive and modern colors to her pastels. "The inspiration for my works comes from nature, especially by the incredible world of flowers. I think that the elements of design are best depicted by nature through flowers. They show us a great variety of shapes, textures, tones, and amazing colors. I like the freshness of pastels; it helps to keep my work light and simple."
