Oils Unveiled: Demystifying the medium

with Ernest Vincent Woods III

Description:

Shatter the mystique surrounding oil painting in this intensive three-day workshop led by award-winning artist Ernest Vincent Wood III. This workshop is designed for both novice and experienced representational painters seeking to enhance their skills in capturing what they see.

During the workshop, participants will learn the 'art of seeing,' guided by Vincent's unique approach to oil painting. Through a series of exercises, a distinct blend of painting techniques, and candid discussions, students will strip away conventions and uncover their true creative potential.

Participants will explore what makes subjects come to life: light, color harmonies, brushwork, and emphasis on shape and structure. From the humble still life to the challenging portrait, students will learn how to convey emotion and character through their paintings. One-on-one portfolio reviews will also be conducted.

Whether you're a seasoned artist seeking to refine your passion or a newcomer eager to explore the medium of oils, this workshop promises to redefine your relationship with the canvas. Prepare to embark on a boundary-breaking journey where new possibilities emerge with every brushstroke.
