WAL Members' Art Show and Membership Drive

Registration

  • General Registration of a single artwork to be shown in the November 2020 Show.

    In addition to the registration fee all entrants must sign up for a volunteer shift.

     Participants must be WAL members.

     Art should not exceed 24 x 36 including the frame. Due to limited space, anything

     Art must be appropriate to be seen by all ages.

     All mediums are accepted including, ceramics, pottery, tiles, and photography.
  • General Registration of three artworks to be shown in the Market St. 2020 Show.

    In addition to the registration fee all entrants must sign up for a 3 1/2 docent shift.

     Participants must be WAL members.

     Art should not exceed 18x24 including the frame. Due to limited space, anything

     Art must be appropriate to be seen by all ages.

     All mediums are accepted including, ceramics, pottery, tiles, and photography.

    This show will not include jewelry.
  • General Registration of two artworks to be shown in the Market St. 2020 Show.

and Membership Drive


Come join WAL November 6th and 7th for an art show hosted at 701 Sawdust Rd. in the Woodlands. 


We will be showcasing artworks by our member artists and the gallery of pieces will be open for sale on Friday and Saturday.

Artists will be able to enter up to three pieces of artwork to be displayed for the show. 

  • ·       Participants must be active WAL members.
  • ·       Hanging art should not exceed 24 x 36 including the frame.
  • ·       Art must be appropriate to be seen by all ages.
  • ·       Absolutely NO wet work.
  • ·       Each hanging piece must be framed, or the sides of the      canvas/board must be finished. The back must have a wire hanger and not a sawtooth picture hanger.  
  •       Each piece shall be tagged and a duplicate tag provided for display.
  • ·       All mediums are accepted including, ceramics, pottery, tiles, and photography. Smaller pieces will be accepted, but may not be continually monitored.
  • ·       Each artist may display up to 3 pieces.
  • ·       Artist are required to pay a $10 entry fee for each piece and sign-up for an available docent/worker shift at:

  • ·       Artists must register and pay on the www.woodlandsartleague.org by November 1st.   WAL reserves the right to restrict or limit entries, depending on the space available and artist registrations.

  • ·       Art must be dropped off at 701 Sawdust Dr., The Woodlands on Friday. November 6th between 9:00 and 10:30AM.
  • ·       Artworks may be picked up after the show closes on Saturday, Nov. 7th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM or Sunday Nov. 8th from 12:00 -2:00 PM.

  • ·       Artists will be expected to actively promote this show on social media, email, word of mouth, etc.

By registering and paying all fees, the artist releases the Woodlands Art League (WAL) from any and all damages, theft, or loss of any artwork/item on exhibit. WAL reserves the right to refuse any work that is not properly presented or is not appropriate for all ages. The artist understands that any “unclaimed” artwork/item left after the closing of the event will be held by WAL for only 1 week and then will be considered a donation. The artist acknowledges that 20% of proceeds of the sales of any artwork/items will be donated to WAL.
