Join Fox Robison on Monday's starting September 30th from 7-9pm for an exploration in creating from life. We will discuss various strategies to become portable as an artist and the practices, while in the field, that best facilitate engagement with the scene. The aim of the class is that you are able to capture a moment by storytelling through image, and are prepared to take your art out into the scene's that inspire you.

Over the course of six classes we will develop an approach to accomplishing a completed work of art from start to finish within a 2 hour span . This will incorporate methods of encountering a scene and discerning subject, planing compositional elements, and using the principles of design to communicate visually. Techniques that will be introduced include developing sketches, basic drawing skills, and watercolor painting. We will then delve further into the details of taking a piece to completion.

Supplies are not included, however a recommended list of materials to purchase is available, and as well attendees are encouraged to bring their own supplies.

Registration:

6 week class series - $150

Single drop-in class- $30
