The Woodlands Art League Gallery is excited to host Eldon Faries for an interesting 3 day watercolor/mixed media workshop.
May 14-15-16, 2013.
The workshop will be from 9-4 with an hour break for lunch.
$150.00 for the 3 day workshop.
A Fleeting Fancy on YUPO
The workshop will consist of various methods by which we can arrive at the correct proportions for the face and figures while working on YUPO.
Biographical:cEldon D. Faries, newly elected president of Watercolor Art Society – Houston. Eldon is a prize winning watercolor artist. He has been a member of WAS-H for over twenty-five years. He critiques, teaches classes, workshops, Paint-Ins and Splashes for WAS-H and at numerous other places in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. He has had three solo exhibitions: North Harris Community College Art Gallery, spring, Texas; Schreiner University, Kerrville, Texas; Brazosport Art Center, Lake Jackson (Clute), Texas; and one group exhibition of four artists from the Houston area at the Barnwell Art Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He currently teaches Drawing I and Drawing II at Montgomery College in The Woodlands. Before his 2004 retirement, he taught secondary art for forty years in Klein and Spring, Texas and Bloomington, Indiana. He enjoys painting watercolor landscape as well as figures. Of recent, his work has tended to be landscapes which are more abstract and often contain abstract figures. Eldon is currently working on a series entitled Earth and Wind: ......

Judy Carducci Workshop
Combination of Portraiture/En Plein Air
The Woodlands Art League is excited to offer this extraordinary artist for a week of professional art instruction.
Dates: Monday June 24 -- Friday June 28, 2013
This workshop will be open to all levels of Pastel Artists and Oil Artists. We will have 3 days of Portraiture instruction with live models and 2 days of Plein Air instruction.
